Inspiration

The definition of metamorph is a transformation of matter into something completely different one by natural or supernatural means.

What it does

The project converts trained art into a live webcam video on the web page!

How I built it

we used TensorFlow's deep learning neural style transfer combined with art to express in a different medium of matters. We used pertained VGG 19 model and converted the trained models into ml5.js to showcase an live view of transfer on web page.

Challenges I ran into

Converting the models into ml5.js to view live on the web page and learning to use Spell to train the machine. Also, while creating the painting, we had a hard time creating the artwork because it needed enough texture and patterns so that the machine can be trained easily.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We finished the project the way we wanted! :)

What I learned

How to paint, how to use Procreate, Spell, TensorFlow, ml5.js and most importantly teamwork!

What's next for metamorph?

We want to produce a better, faster and more accurate render for better usability!
