Inspiration "MetaMaze was born from the frustration of endlessly scrolling through flat, lifeless feeds. We thought, 'What if social media videos could be an actual adventure?' So, we threw videos into space, added some neon lights, and made it as chaotic as possible. Voilà!"

What it does "MetaMaze lets you explore videos in a 3D environment like you’re an astronaut in a digital galaxy. You walk through floating videos, discovering new content as if you're hunting for treasure. It’s like Facebook, but with less scrolling and more 'where am I?!'"

How we built it "By mixing together 3D rendering, some good old-fashioned coding, and a pinch of madness. We threw in an interactive interface, a bunch of motion effects, and pretended we knew what we were doing. The result? MetaMaze—a fun, immersive mess of videos in a digital galaxy."

Challenges we ran into "1. Making 3D video browsing smooth enough to avoid making people dizzy.

  1. Designing a universe of videos that didn’t just look like a weird space junkyard.
  2. Ensuring that we didn’t get so lost in our own maze that we forgot the point of the website!"

Accomplishments that we're proud of "We made a 3D website that actually works, people! We also didn’t cause any permanent motion sickness (so far). Plus, we created a unique, immersive experience that’s a fun escape from the usual scroll-and-click routine."

What we learned "1. The more neon, the better.

  1. 3D browsing is harder than it looks, but it’s also way cooler than we imagined.
  2. Debugging is much more fun when you’re pretending you're solving space-time anomalies."

What’s next for MetaMaze "We’re adding more features, like teleportation to your favorite videos, and possibly creating a black hole to suck in all the annoying ads. We're aiming to turn MetaMaze into a cosmic social media experience that makes the internet feel like an adventure."
