Inspiration
At its core, Metale Protocol (soon TaleX) seeks to help video content that struggled to achieve commercial success in the past find new opportunities for monetization and distribution. The platform’s mission is to achieve content freedom in a decentralized manner, ensuring that creators and consumers alike can engage with content without the restrictions imposed by traditional centralized platforms.
In the past, it was difficult for people to find a place where they could complete content crowdfunding, profit-sharing, pay-per-view, and distribution. Only a few industry giants provided these services. They selected content according to their preferences, leaving unchosen content without the opportunity to develop, or it could only be freely available on YouTube. Metale Protocol aims to offer a platform that is as open as YouTube, but specifically serves creators who want to produce paid content.
Social Impact: Metale Protocol is creating an ecosystem where creators, consumers, and investors can interact without the need for centralized intermediaries. This blockchain-based ecosystem eliminates barriers to communication and commercialization, providing a global venue for content to be authorized, stored, distributed, and monetized on the blockchain. This approach fosters a prosperous environment for long-tail IP crypto assets with cash flow, ensuring that content, regardless of its source, can reach its audience and generate value.
Environmental Impact: Metale Protocol is set to open a new market in the fan-made film and television streaming niche. With the rise of AI-driven content creation, the platform anticipates a surge in fan-made content, which has historically faced challenges due to copyright protection mechanisms. TaleX will introduce smart contract technology to facilitate the commercialization of fan-made content, potentially attracting billions of monthly visits and creating a significant impact on the global content ecosystem.
What it does
Metale Protocol (soon TaleX) offers a video content pay-per-view platform. Additionally, it helps creators tokenize their content as encrypted assets, issuing copyright asset tokens that can be traded and provide real-time dividends.
- Netflix is not an open ecosystem and you can’t upload any content there by yourself.
- On Youtube you can’t set up payment for your content.
- OnlyFans is a subscription-based platform and you can’t be paid based on content.
Soon, on TaleX, everyone can freely upload content, set their own fees, and set dissemination commissions. Everyone can issue encrypted assets with ownership of content, which can be traded in real-time, and income will be distributed in real-time based on the linkage of the encrypted asset transactions. For the first time in history, there can be a real-time income from the long-tail IP content assets with cash flow like films, TV series, short dramas, anime, other episode-based content.
How we built it
Metale Protocol is powered by a set of smart contracts that facilitate the publishing, distribution, and investment in content. As the platform evolves into TaleX, it will integrate with other protocols to form a Layer 3 blockchain optimized for the IP and entertainment niche. TaleX will offer decentralized services that include copyright authorization, content storage, fundraising, trading, consumption, and distribution.
One of the standout features of Metale Protocol is the introduction of new rights related to copyright, enabling the distribution and commercialization of AI-generated and fan-made content on the blockchain. This innovation was previously impossible within Web2. The ecosystem also offers decentralized crowdfunding for content creation, allowing creators to raise funds directly through the community, and decentralized content asset trading, allowing users to own and trade portions of content copyrights.
Challenges we ran into
Started in 2022, at that time everyone didn't care about decentralization in various sectors. Now, on the verge of a new bull cycle, we see the growing potential of a fully decentralised world and we are about to achieve this within the entertainment and content niche.

What we learned
Projects in Web3 shouldn't focus on their business profit; instead, they need to concentrate on what truly matters — addressing the pain points of the Web2 world that only blockchain can solve. By building a project with a long-term vision, entrepreneurs can create solutions that are seen as necessities rather than just opportunities. Staying in step with current trends while maintaining a focus on the core mission and values is key to success.
What's next for Metale Protocol (soon TaleX)
We are a long-term team with the project which builds a worldwide venue for decentralized content dissemination and commercialization. We also haven’t released our ecosystem or project token yet and it's coming this year. We build a Layer 3 as the final ecosystem's representation. There are plans to have different data dashboard products, DePIN products, DeFi products. There will be a mainnet of TaleX, and also other teams and developers all over the world will be able to use our documentation and build their own products in entertainment and content niche on TaleX. We call it ContentFi, and it will be born soon.
