MetaIntent – Project Story
Inspiration
Many businesses and creators struggle to present products and services in virtual environments because traditional 3D tools require technical skills or developers. We wanted to democratize 3D space creation by allowing anyone to build and customize environments quickly and easily, using AI to guide the process.
What it does
MetaIntent enables users to instantly create and customize virtual spaces for products, services, or events. They can manually replace assets or use AI to interpret their intent and automatically suggest and apply design modifications. The system is no-code, low-cost, and removes language and device barriers, making global reach simple.
How we built it
- Interaction Layer: Users click on objects in the environment and choose between manual replacement or AI-driven customization.
- AI Layer (Gemini 3 API): Receives natural language or voice prompts, interprets user intent, and recommends asset replacements or adjustments.
- Execution Layer: Unreal Engine/Unity scripts update assets, materials, and scaling in real-time.
This layered approach ensures a seamless experience where control and automation coexist.
Challenges we ran into
- Integrating AI reasoning into a real-time 3D environment without lag.
- Interpreting vague user prompts accurately to generate meaningful asset replacements.
- Designing an interface that works across devices and languages while remaining intuitive.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
