Inspiration
Real estate deals are slow, costly, and lack transparency. We wanted to leverage Web3 and smart contracts to create a secure, decentralized platform that simplifies property transactions and builds trust.
What it does
MetaHive lets buyers and builders securely list, buy, and sell properties using Ethereum smart contracts. It provides Firebase authentication, role-based access, real-time updates, and tamper-proof transactions.
How we built it
We built the frontend using React and JavaScript, integrated Firebase for authentication and data storage, and used Solidity smart contracts on Ethereum to handle secure property transfers and Web3 interactions.
Challenges we ran into
Implementing smart contracts for real estate logic, ensuring secure Firebase–Web3 integration, and handling role-based access efficiently were key technical hurdles. We also faced time constraints during development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully integrating blockchain with a real estate platform, deploying functional smart contracts, and creating a clean, user-friendly interface that demonstrates real-world decentralized transactions.
What we learned
Hands-on experience with Ethereum smart contracts, Web3 development, Firebase security, and building scalable decentralized applications.
What's next for MetaHive
Adding Maps API for property visualization, integrating payment gateways, enabling NFT-based property tokens, and expanding to multi-chain support for wider adoption.
