The game only up was my inspiration for this map. It is a game where the only goal is to get as high as you can with your character and reach the top without falling to the bottom and starting all over again.
The game allows the player to go through obstacles and try to reach the top of the map without falling to the bottom. There are no checkpoints so if you fall, you must start all over again.
Using the Meta Horizon Worlds Desktop software. I used public assets only. I started from the bottom, and built up, while slowly making the course more challenging.
I realized that the obstacles were too large/small only after getting to them while testing the map which took a good chunk of time. Having to go through the map just to see if it works was a challenge.
I'm proud that I could get a map done at all. I tried my best to make something I enjoy making. Even if it was challenging, or if the result was not truly perfect, I loved doing it.
I learned that developing games is a lot of work. It takes so much time to build a game with no bugs, glitches, errors, or mistakes. If the game has a bug, fixing it could be very challenging (speaking from experience). Building games takes a lot of time and it is truly impressive to see how game developers make great games!
Next, I would like to make my map longer/higher. I want to add more interactive features like timers, traps, riddles, and more!
