Inspiration

Healthcare is often reactive, not proactive. Millions of people only realize health risks when it’s too late. I wanted to build something simple yet powerful that empowers users to predict risks early, take action, and stay safe. Inspired by real world problems I’ve seen in India, I created Met Doc Lite as an AI health companion that works instantly in the browser.

What it does

AI Health Risk Predictor – Calculates risk levels for diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and hypertension using user inputs. Auto Diet and Workout Generator – Suggests a personalized daily plan based on risk profile. Emergency SOS Button – Sends a quick alert (simulated for demo) in case of critical symptoms. Pulse Card (Lite) – Generates a simple QR-based health card with user info for emergency sharing.

How we built it

Backend: Python + Flask for routes and risk scoring. AI/Logic: Explainable, rule-based thresholds (expandable to ML). Planner: Generates diet, workout, and tips from the risk profile. Pulse QR: Server-side QR image saved for quick sharing. State: Demo stores only the latest result in session (no DB yet). Frontend: HTML/CSS/Bootstrap with responsive dark mode.

Challenges we ran into

Designing an AI system that is both accurate and hackathon-friendly (lightweight, no heavy models). Making the UI responsive so the dashboard works across devices. Cutting down bigger project ideas (Met Doc) into a 24-hour prototype.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A fully functional health app in a short time. Clean UI + working backend integration. Showing how AI can save lives, even in a hackathon setting.

What we learned

Balancing scope vs features in hackathons. Building clear documentation + demo video matters as much as coding. How healthcare + AI can combine to make real social impact.

What's next for Met Doc Lite

Adding a proper ML model for more accurate predictions. Expanding the Pulse Card into a real digital health ID. Integrating voice logging & regional languages for accessibility.
