Inspiration
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are undoubtedly the most popular active athletes in the world today. Many people across the world are interested in their statistics, but there is not a reliable source to get them instantaneously.
What it does
This chatbot retrieves the desired statistics of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo based on their appearances, goals, and/or assists from the start of their careers till 2024.
How we built it
This chatbot was created by using the Botpress platform, which allows users to create AI agents. The chatbot was created using knowledge bases consisting of text files with both of the player's statistics.
Challenges we ran into
The statistics available are limited because there are many types of statistics that are not included, such as penalties or free kicks. This chatbot also does not differentiate their statistics for club and country. Finally, it was decided to not include statistics from 2025 since the year is ongoing while the players are still active.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Providing instantaneous desired stats for users and having the AI agent recognize invalid input.
What's next for Messi Vs Ronaldo Chatbot
Incorporating more types of statistics.
