With the advancement of Web3, communication systems that maintain data privacy and direct communication between people are becoming more necessary, and with Linera and microchains, this can already be a reality, communication without centralization.

What it does

Messera is a direct messaging system between chains (users) to be able to interact through text, replicating the WhatsApp or Telegram format, but on the Web3, maintaining privacy, confidentiality, and most importantly, the ownership of messages, using Linera Protocol.

How we built it

Using Linera microchains (via Rust), and testing was done in an Ubuntu Server environment in the cloud (Azure).

Challenges we ran into

Iterate several times in the deployment of Linera on the server, since at times I ran out of disk space or memory to be able to advance in development and testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Create a demo in a short time despite my zero experience in Rust.

What we learned

I learned all about Linera and the benefits and opportunities of microchains (for this and other ideas). Also, it's my first time programming in Rust.

What's next for Messera

With the advancement of Linera Protocol, Messera will have its own user interface (Web and mobile) and will be transformed into a new product (and even a startup).
