As a team, we embarked on a journey of innovation and exploration at the hackathon. Our mission was clear: to create something impactful and transformative in the world of finance. The hackathon gave us a unique opportunity to engage with industry experts and mentors who shared their insights on various market opportunities.

One of the most inspiring moments came when we listened to mentors discuss the untapped potential of native Bitcoin yield. Their words resonated deeply with us, and we realized that this was an area that aligned perfectly with our mission. We were inspired by the idea of making Bitcoin—a sound and valuable asset—even more productive by offering the yield to its holders.

As we reflected on our strengths and capabilities, we felt confident in executing this idea. Our team was well-rounded, with expertise in smart contract engineering, full-stack development, and business development. We knew that, together, we could bring our vision to life.

Throughout the hackathon, we experienced moments of self-reflection and improvement. We learned the value of iterating quickly, pivoting when necessary, and staying focused on our core mission. We also recognized the importance of user feedback and market validation, which helped us refine our product and strategy.

Our final product, MeroPaisa, after pivoting for the third time. By integrating the Hiro wallet with the Lnswap protocol, we created a solution that offers native Bitcoin yield to users in a trust-minimized way. We believe that MeroPaisa is an idea whose time has arrived, and we're excited about the impact it can have on the crypto community.
