We kept coming back to the same observation: the people who need capital the most are exactly the people the system is least equipped to evaluate. Not because they’re risky — but because the tools were built for a world of stable salaries and formal employment that most people don’t actually live in anymore. A friend who freelances and gets rejected for a loan despite earning more than his salaried peers. A family member sending money across borders every month, invisible to any credit bureau. An artist who has the talent and the commissions lined up but can’t afford the materials to fulfill them. These aren’t edge cases — they’re the majority of the working world. And the solution didn’t require charity or lowered standards. It required asking the right question and having the engineering discipline to answer it properly. That’s what we built.
