Getting HTML script using Axion

Inspiration

It was a challenge from SaltPay

What it does

It takes a .json file input of commercial organizations in UK and create an output file determining their online presence

How we built it

We created a web scraper to search the websites for their online presence and social media presences

Challenges we ran into

Was not used to working with Javascript, came across bugs handling exceptions. Was going to use express.js for server side scripting but was not able to due to time constraints

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It is able to get HTML text from any website.

What we learned

Worked with cheerio, axios modules and created a web scraper which can get HTML script of any website using axious and getting desired data using Cheerio, tried improving the web scraper to work with the SaltPay MOPR: Merchant Online Presence Rater
