Inspiration
I ran an e-commerce store many years ago and found the process of taking new inventory to market very labor-intensive. Merchant Floor is a collection of apps that I wished I had at the time.
What it does
Helps small retail businesses edit product photos, write product descriptions, and create marketing content. Fast.
How we built it
Bolt, Supabase, Stripe, OpenAI, Photoroom, Resend, Netlify
Challenges we ran into
Prompting took some getting used to. It matters how you frame your ask. And some of the backend stuff like configuring DNS settings for different apps took a bunch of figuring out.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm a solo founder with no dev experience. I'm amazed at how much I've built with Bolt.
What we learned
Prompt engineering matters. I built this entire site using AI, and I have AI apps within the site.
What's next for Merchant Floor?
I have a few more apps to build into the collection, and build integrations with Amazon, Shopify, email platforms.
