Inspiration
We chose the digital dreamer track because none of us had any experience in programming games. We thought we would learn a lot from trying something none of us had previous knowledge of.
What it does
Our project is an interactive game that allows a narrative experience. At the beginning of the game, the user clicks on each cat to read the description of each cat. After the description pops up, the cat loses their instrument, and a banner with the instructions for the game pop-ups. The user has to play a game of jumping over obstacles to collect each instrument. The user has three lives and if they lose all of them, the game over the screen shows. If the user collects the instruments, the cat with the instrument the user collected appears on the screen.
How we built it
We have every sprite and background for the game. We used the kaboom library as a foundation of the game.
Challenges we ran into
We were going to make 3 games but we didn't have enough time to create all of them.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we are able to program the game with no prior experience.
What we learned
We learned how to code in HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
What's next for Meow-Sical Mayhem: The Instrument Heist
We hope to add other games inside this game to give opportunities for the users to collect the instruments if they can't collect all of them.
