Inspiration
In high school, I was puzzled about why teachers needed to manually grade exams—why couldn't grading be automated? This idea planted a seed in my mind that has remained there ever since. During my undergraduate studies, I served as a teaching assistant and graded each student's answers one by one, writing the correct answers beside them. Although this took a lot of time, I felt it was worth it. Coincidentally, one of my classmates was a part-time journalist, and he shared my approach online, which encouraged me even more. During my studies, this idea intensified as I observed that teachers and teaching assistants spent a significant amount of time grading exams, and afterwards, they needed even more time to compile and analyze the results to understand the students' levels. Therefore, I decided to develop a machine to solve this problem.
What it does
It is a Smart Printer : Automated marking machine for paper-based homework
How we built it
Leveraging cutting-edge large-model technology and new product design, the device uses APIs to call the model, enabling one-click scanning of paper homework, traceable grading, and data analysis.
Challenges we ran into
Currently, we have found seed users, but the issues we face are insufficient funding and commercialization challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The user experience for our seed users has been very positive, and it has saved teachers a lot of time.
What we learned
To continuously refine and improve our product based on user feedback and during the competition, enhancing user experience. The more time we save for others, the greater our own value becomes."
