Forest App

What it does

This app gamifies and checks the daily CO2 emissions produced by the user. If a user has a lesser carbon footprint, the tree flourishes. Otherwise, the tree starts to decay.

How we built it

We used Flutter and MongoDB for the most part, we used Figma for the UI planning.

Challenges we ran into

This was our first experience with Flutter and MongoDB. It was overwhelming to try to learn a whole new concept in one day.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

How far we have come in the span of 24 hours, the new technologies that we all learned.

What we learned

How to use databases and make android apps. Most importantly, we learned the horrors of CO2 emissions from certain foods and waste items.

What's next for MeO2

Completing the app, adding the meat (the trees growing), and adding users and authentication and routing via Flask. Lastly, we aim to publish this to the Google Play Store and add more functionalities and improvements to the UI.
