A menu which I don't understand

Inspiration

Everyone has difficulty in understanding the menu in a cuisine they are not familiar with. One of our team member went to France last year, being a complete beginner in french, he had a huge struggle understanding the menu. We made MenuMan to enable people to know what is on the menu straight away.

What it does

Open your app -> Point your phone camera a menu with unfamiliar language -> Translate the menu, Pictures of that food, information (allergy, nutrition, ingredient...) display on the screen -> Helps you understand any menu on Earth in a direct and interactive manner.

How I built it

We use Optical Character Recognition for identify cuisines in different language and translate them back to English. Also, the photos and relevant information are searched in real time as you move along your camera through the menu.
