Inspiration

• Personal experience where I didn't get a full-time job for 2 years from my Graduation day. And I see my friends in the same boat as me
• Fresh Graduates that don't know where to get a mentor
• Qualified candidates that don't get the opportunity to land an on-site interview

What it does

• Provide an open space for recruiter to hire the right candidate for their companies.
• Provide mentor a platform to give back to the community + earn extra money outside of working-hours
• Provide mentee a place to find a mentor and land a job at Tech Companies

How we built it

• SquareSpace as our MVP to showcase the look of the propose idea.

Challenges we ran into

• All of us have no background in Front End. Thankfully, we found SquareSpace that enables us to design the prototype website with ease.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Onboard members who have no experience with Jira and utilize it!
• Accomplish this GarudaHacks despite living in different timezone (15 hours difference)
• No one knows how to edit video for deliverables. I was able to edit video with the help of iMovie

What we learned

• How to create MVP from brainstorming ideas, planning, implementation, and finally deliverables :)
• The best idea comes from our biggest personal pain.
• #MulaiAjaDulu

What's next for MentorMe

• Get a Mentor/Investor who likes our idea and discuss how we can implement this in Indonesia
• Scoring system for mentor and mentee (Feature #1)
• Reviews for companies (Feature #2)
• Special job specific programs to measure candidate’s performance (Feature #3)
