One of us hosted with AirBnb in the summer.

We remembered the philosophy of sub-reddits on the podcast 'How I built this' by NPR. The initial idea formed at 1PM this Friday.

It connects mentors and mentees via video chat.

Our fourth member, who was our front-end web designer, was sick on Friday and got worse over the night. He finished 2 of the 5 webpages but used WebFlowy which none of us knew how to use, so we had to start from scratch. We also faced problems implementing firebase authentication onto the node.js server. Eventually, we decided to get rid of a robust authentication and have a simple one. Tutorials online used depreciated code, due to which we ran into compiling errors.

After the beginning setbacks, we were focused throughout the hackathon. We are proud of how much progress we made and how sound and applicable our idea is.

All of us learned something new in this event. We faced many challenges for which we had to discuss and come up with a new solution.

We could polish up our project and have a beta test.
