Inspiration

My inspiration to create Mentor Podium is to allow everyone to get the most accurate and trustworthy source of information. In addition, I would like people to enhance their skills while social distancing is enforced.

What it does

Mentor Podium allows you to get the latest information on the coronavirus, chat with experts about anxiety, and find a mentor who can help you to achieve your goals and dreams.

How I built it

I built it using android studio java and using html5, Css3, Javascript, Jquery, Node.js, and Bootstrap.

Challenges I ran into

Creating the chat, uploading posts, creating node.js functions, and calling firebase APIs.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Creation of the web app, creation of the chat, uploading photos, and videos.

What I learned

I learned how to call firebase Apis, how to post videos and pictures, how to create a chat and call node.js functions.

What's next for Mentor Podium

Mentor Podium plans on giving mentors a place to post their online digital content. Along with building an ios app.
