Inspiration

Many of my friends and I have always found it difficult to find the right mentor aligned with our passion. I did not find a platform where mentees can connect with mentors. This led me to create this platform called "Mentee-Connect-Mentors."

What it does

"Mentee-Connect-Mentors" is a platform that will help students like me to connect with professionals to guide us in our careers. Students across the world can leverage this platform to connect to mentors of their choice.

How I built it

I utilized Wix.com and my technical skills to develop this platform from scratch.

Challenges I ran into

Participating individually in my first hackathon, I faced several challenges over the past 24 hours. Initially, I couldn't find the right platform to build my site. Once that problem was addressed through Wix.com, I started building my site. Then, I had to overcome various technical challenges in building this platform and make it live.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am proud of successfully participating in my first hackathon. I am glad that I have provided a platform to address one of the key problems faced by middle and high school students in shaping their careers.

What I learned

Participating in this Hackathon kindled my interest in sharpening my technical skills. I learned how to conceptualize and plan within a given time frame and come out with a working prototype.

What's next for Mentees-Connect-Mentors

Now that I have a base platform for both mentees and mentors to register, I plan to enhance this platform to automatically match and connect both mentors and mentees with the right expectations.
