Inspiration

I looked at most mental health apps and never felt they were truly private or personalized. They all felt the same, spouting the same generic messages and style, this is meant to be private, personal, and disposable, making checklists and advice.

What it does

It creates a personalized, private, and adaptive mental health experience with a calming, dreamlike yet playful, almost childlike appearance, that can help you meet goals and connect with other people.

How we built it

Cursor was mainly used for the code, we made the concept, art, UI design, and picked the music.

Challenges we ran into

-Cursor taking long -PhPBB initialization -The loss of Darren

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-A complete forum system -Fully cohesive, playful and calming theme -Working therapist using Groq AI -Media player bundled with calming music -Streak system and daily checklist that the AI creates

What we learned

We learned about server networking, potential conflicts in different apps, and how to use tools like XAMPP and PHPMyAdmin correctly.

What's next for MentalBloom

If this wins the hackathon, maybe it could become a full webapp, right now it's a concept/toyapp running on XAMPP.
