About the Project

🧘 Inspiration

Mental Reset was born from something personal , the quiet weight of burnout that often creeps in during long nights of overthinking, creating, or just existing in a loud, fast world. I wanted to build a space that felt like a pause. A sanctuary not for productivity, but for breathing. Something digital, but human. Something that speaks softly.

In a world of dashboards and dopamine loops, I wondered: What if a website could feel like a deep breath?

🛠️ How I Built It

I used Bolt to design a fully scrollable, immersive experience , no page breaks, just a gentle narrative from top to bottom. Each section reveals itself with intention: breathing guides, soundscapes, micro-journaling, gentle affirmations, and interactive thoughts floating horizontally through space.

The design focused heavily on:

  • Minimalism, with a muted aesthetic and glassmorphism.
  • Scroll animations and parallax effects to simulate depth and softness.
  • Thoughtfully written content that doesn't scream, but soothes.
  • Subtle interactions , a working breathing timer, background sound toggles, cursor glow, and a midnight easter egg , to make the site feel alive, but never overwhelming.

🌱 What I Learned

This project taught me the power of emotional UX , how design and copy can make someone feel something, even without heavy code or flashy features. I also learned how to stretch a no-code tool like Bolt beyond its expected limits by carefully layering interactions, scroll-based depth, and performance-optimized animations.

⚠️ Challenges

One of the biggest challenges was achieving meaningful interactivity while keeping everything inside a single scrollable page. Bolt is incredibly powerful, but I had to creatively structure sections to simulate dynamic experiences without traditional page routing or heavy scripting.

Balancing performance with emotion was another , ensuring the site remained fast and responsive, yet full of life.

❤️ Final Thought

Mental Reset isn’t just a website , it’s a soft place for people to land. And I hope anyone who stumbles upon it walks away feeling just a little lighter.
