Inspiration

We saw that there was a lack of understanding for people with mental disorders that stemmed from an inability to imagine what symptoms are. Even if imagined, a person can’t quite exactly replicate these experiences and feelings

What it does

With VR, we get closer to replicating these experiences by simulating how people with mental illnesses view the world

How we built it

With Unity.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues using Steam VR as well as figuring out how to properly convey the emotional feelings with only physical senses.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a VR simulation!

What we learned

It's difficult to implement a whole simulation within 36 hours.

What's next for Mental Illness Simulation

Hopefully we can fully implement the game as well as add new situations and illnesses.
