Inspiration

Our inspiration for this idea came from the pace maker. It uses electricity to make sure your heart runs at a steady beat. We took the same concept but instead of using electricity we are using electromagnetic waves to alter brain wave function so that when you are having an attack your brain waves will go back to a calm state.

What it does

It works by using electromagnetic waves to alter a person's brain waves to take to a calm the state of mind. For example, if someone is having an anxiety attack this device will reduce their gamma and beta brain waves, which make a person awake and frequently raise in an anxiety attack, and increase alpha and theta waves, calming the person down.

How we built it

We built a model using normal house hold items. To build our app we used marval and also attended the workshop which helped us. We were able to design each button to do different things, such as a chatbot and public chat. With our limited time we used marval to effectively demonstrate what an app of this caliber could do by using coding languages such as java or python.

Challenges we ran into

We were a little stumped on how to make the machine work but in the end we did research and eventually overcame these problems. Also, the video editing software we were using, Filmora, was not letting us export our project. However, we overcame this by screen-recording and solving this problem.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of making our very first app. This was an amazing learning experience as none of us have done anything like it before. In addition to that, some of our members uploaded their very first youtube videos during the Spark Hackathon.

What we learned

During the Spark Hackathon, we learned many useful skills that we will utilize in the future. Some of these skills include, making an app, learning to code, using different apps and learning to edit.

What's next for Mental Stabilizer - Soccer4Life - Team 1

We hope to participate in the next and upcoming hackathon. Also, we might possibly want to turn this concept/idea into a real company.
