🎓 About the Project
Inspiration
Ment2Meet was inspired by the need to bridge the gap between education and real-world mentorship. We saw how students, professionals, and even alumni often struggle to reach out for guidance due to the fear of judgment or the challenges of connecting with the right mentors. We wanted to create a platform where people could practice networking, ask questions, and learn without feeling anxious.
How It Works
Ment2Meet uses cutting-edge AI technology to provide AI-powered mentors, where users can interact with an AI version of real mentors. These mentors are trained based on professional profiles, experiences, and personal interests, providing personalized interactions to help users build confidence before reaching out to actual mentors.
Our platform leverages Fetch AI's ASI 1 Mini to create multiple LLM agents, which simulate real-life conversations with mentors. We also integrated Fetch AI's Agent System to handle Linkd API calls, facilitating real-time data exchange to match users with mentors based on their needs.
Additionally, Gemini was used to create roadmaps for students to understand how successful professionals navigated their careers and academic paths. These roadmaps are based on real experiences, offering guidance on how to achieve career and educational goals.

Challenges Faced
- Data availability: Gathering accurate, high-quality data for creating AI mentors posed a challenge, but integrating APIs like Linkd allowed us to populate profiles.
- User trust: Overcoming the initial skepticism about AI-driven mentors was difficult, but providing personalized experiences through roadmaps and data-driven interactions helped.
- Scalability: Building a system that can scale effectively while maintaining quality interactions was a major technical hurdle.
🔮 Future Plans
- Video Mentoring: Expand to include video conferencing with mentors, providing an even more real-time, interactive experience. This will help students have face-to-face conversations with mentors to enhance learning.
- AI-powered phone calls: Introduce AI phone calls to simulate live conversations with mentors. This will offer an even more realistic interaction for users who prefer voice communication.
- Schedule Real Calls: Enable the functionality to schedule real-life phone or video calls with mentors, allowing students to take the learning experience to the next level with direct mentorship.
- Personalized AI Learning Assistants: Build AI-powered assistants that help guide students through their academic and professional journeys, offering advice, reminders, and support.
