Inspiration

MENA was inspired by the need for a simple and private period tracking app. Many existing tools are complex or intrusive, so we set out to create something clean, accessible, and supportive for women’s health.

What it does

MENA helps users track their periods, symptoms, and moods, view past cycles, read health content, and export their data as a PDF report for doctor visits. It works on both web and mobile.

How we built it

We used no-code/low-code tools for the frontend, Firebase Authentication for login, local storage for user data, and a no-code CMS for health content. The export feature creates a downloadable PDF report.

Challenges we ran into

Key challenges included building both web and mobile views, ensuring data privacy without a backend, and implementing PDF exports within a no-code setup.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of building a working cross-platform prototype, enabling PDF report exports, keeping user data local and private, and creating a smooth user experience.

What we learned

We learned that even simple tools can provide real value, and that users appreciate privacy, ease of use, and clean design in health apps.

What's next for Mena-Female Health AppNext,

we plan to add cloud backup, smarter tracking, and more educational content, while keeping the experience simple and privacy-first.
