Inspiration

Globally, 55 million people around the world suffer from dementia. Especially in the severe stages of Dementia, patients are forgetful, irritable, and often have trouble communicating. However, studies have shown that certain images that remind them of their lives have a powerful impact. Hence, our team was motivated to slow the decline of dementia using tech for good.

What it does

Our text-to-image application and chatbot are targeted at dementia elderly and those who may be socially isolated.

How we built it

We built the website interface by using React framework and using python for the telegram bot.

Challenges we ran into

If given more time, we would implement a speech-to-text bot for the elderly.
