A poetic journey through time and memory.

Using AI-enhanced images from my travels between 2009 and 2014, this film tells the story of Haj Abdollah, a 97-year-old authority on weddings in a border village between Iran and Turkmenistan. Any unmarried couple seeking to marry must first receive his blessing — a simple gesture of his hand carries centuries of tradition.

Through the lens of documentary photography and AI, the film reflects on fleeting moments, cultural rituals, and the intimate passage of time along the borderlands.
