A Memory Photobook for Friends

Inspiration

My friends and I went on a trip in Vancouver last April but we never really organized the photos from our trips. Since we are all into photography, I thought I should make a photobook that contains all of our photos from the trip.

What it does

A photobook made in Figma that tells the story from our trip in Vancouver. Since 3 of us are photographers, I included photos taken by all of us. Guess who took which photo!

How I built it

I used the photos that me and two of my friends took from our trip and designed a photobook in Figma,

Challenges I ran into

There were TOO MANY good photos and it's difficult to give up some of them. I also have a lot of great photos that didn't fit with the story telling. It's easy to have beautiful photos but story telling is the harder part.

Storytelling using a series of photos is hard.

What's next for Memory Photobook for Friends

I'll add more photography (like actual good shots) and think of ways to combine those photos with our stories at Van. We have a lot of good shots but I need to think of how to combine those shots with good storytelling. There should also be two more stories (one about UBC and one about Gastown at Van). Once I finish my additions, I'll print my photobook and mail one of them to my friend since she moved away after graduation.
