By blending cutting-edge AI with creative storytelling, our platform transforms life’s moments into timeless narratives, whether through transcripts, comics, or even voice clones that speak in your tone.

What it does

Memoir AI lets you upload images and record videos of special moments. Using AI, it analyzes emotions, creates transcripts, and even generates comics based on your story. This ensures you never forget the exact emotions you felt at a particular moment. What’s more? You can also generate a clone of yourself (that talks just like you, in your own voice) and send it to your loved ones, so that they never have to miss the sound of you.

How we built it

  • Developed an AI-powered backend to analyze uploaded images and videos, detect emotions, generate transcripts, and create comics using pre-trained models for computer vision, NLP, and generative art.
  • Built a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) model that creates a digital clone capable of conversing in the user's own voice. The model also incorporates the user's previous memories in its knowledge base, allowing for more authentic and contextually relevant interactions.
  • Built a user-friendly interface to allow seamless uploading of media and display outputs like emotional analysis, transcripts, and comics.
  • Designed a scalable data processing pipeline to handle media uploads, process content efficiently, and deliver results in real-time.

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating the frontend and backend.
  • Fixing latency issues. We wanted it to feel snappy and fast.
  • Handling edge cases where audio isn’t clear.
  • We ran into challenges with cloning the voice of the user and created a Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) model.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We were able to build a product that any person out there (technical or not) would find easy to use.
  • We integrated with the best APIs to offer a new, imaginative experience for storing memories for the user.

What we learned

  • AI can act as a co-creator, enhancing creativity while maintaining originality and emotional depth.
  • AI must bridge the gap between raw data and human emotions to create relatable and impactful narratives.

What's next for Memoir AI

  • Release a beta version on Product Hunt and promote it through social media campaigns to attract early adopters. Collaborate with influencers to showcase the product’s features.
  • Develop a strategic AI roadmap to refine data collection, emotional intelligence capabilities, and contextual memory recall. Focus on scaling AI features while ensuring ethical use and privacy protection.
  • Integrating emerging technologies like VR or wearables can further enrich memory preservation experiences
  • Introduce a freemium model with basic features free, while premium options like voice clones and advanced AI storytelling tools are available through tiered subscriptions.
