Inspiration
We were inspired to create a way to relive memories more immersively by blending the digital and physical worlds. Photos often lack the emotional and spatial context of where they were captured. Using AR and spatial anchors, we envisioned a solution that lets users revisit memories from the exact vantage point they were created.
What it does
Spatial Memories lets you travel back in time to vividly relive memories of your loved ones
How we built it
Spatial Memories captures moments using the camera module. With the spatial anchor feature, users can place photos in physical locations and return to them to relive moments from the same perspective as the original recording. Image spatialization makes the content immersive, creating the feeling of being right there in the moment.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges in getting the raw image data and retrieving the captured content on device. The captured images also appear to bright compared to the physical environment.
