Inspiration
The current situation with Gamestop inspired us to create this project
What it does
It allows the user to find subreddit posts about the memestock he is interested in and also to check which one are popular on reddit.
How we built it
We build the app using python and the Reddit API.
Challenges we ran into
This was the first time that we used this kind of API, a challenging part of our project was to understand and correctly use Praw and the data that it gives us
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was our first Hackathon for the most of us and we're proud to have managed to do a project on a constraint amount of time, and accomplishing all the goals that we were setting out to do.
What we learned
-Use Praw (a Reddit Scraper for Python) to get the data that we wanted -Build a simple UI in Python using tkinter
