  The perfect tool to help me finally get that laugh that you need

Inspiration:

In a world flooded with anxiety, doomscrolling, and online toxicity, we wanted to create something simple yet powerful a reason to smile. Laughter is universal, healing, and deeply human.

What it does:

It's a tool used to create fully customizable fun memes and GIFs, a tool that was invented with the goal of helping millions of Internet users to get that one laughter that coukd help make their day a lot better

How we built it:

We used OpenRouter API to generate meme captions with AI Unsplash & GIPHY APIs to fetch relevant images and GIFs Supabase for storing meme data and generating shareable links React + TailwindCSS for a fast, responsive, comic-inspired frontend Framer Motion to add playful animations that bring the editor to life No login is required users just create and enjoy

Challenges we ran into:

Crafting AI prompts that generate humor consistently without context was a big hassle I had to retry several prompts till we got that "one prompt" that gave us something fun and nice

Balancing meme customization tools with simplicity (too many options = overwhelm)

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

supper proud to funally have this project fully functional and active and being able to finally figure out the one perfect prompt

What we learned:

it's all in the prompts. There is no limit to what you can get amazing dev tools like bolt to do. The only limit is always the prompt

What's next for Mememania:

well we hope to have this out there in the public so everyone can have access to it and we hope we would be able to reduce the toxic situation of the Internet and get to actually help some people to have fun.
