Inspiration

“Mein Licht” was inspired by the myth of Loki and Sigyn, one of the most emotionally deep relationships in Norse mythology.
It explores how love and devotion can become a guiding light through suffering and uncertainty.

What I Built

This is a 9:16 AI-animated music video combining symbolic imagery with original poetic lyrics.
It portrays Loki’s inner darkness and Sigyn’s unwavering loyalty, visualized through ritual light, runes and emotional cinematic storytelling.

How I Built It

  • CapCut for all animation and scene generation
  • AI-powered imagery for Nordic environments, symbols and emotional lighting
  • Original music & vocals composed personally with Suno
  • Careful color grading and editing to fit the horizontal mobile-focused format

Challenges

The horizontal 9:16 format required a completely different approach to framing and composition.
Creating intimacy and mythic depth in narrow compositions was challenging but rewarding.

Accomplishments

“Mein Licht” has become one of my most emotional pieces, resonating strongly with viewers who connect to the themes of loyalty, healing and devotion.
The video demonstrates how vertical storytelling can be cinematic, poetic and powerful.

What I Learned

I learned how to adapt mythological storytelling to mobile-first formats while keeping emotional weight and visual clarity.
