Inspiration

I have glaucoma, diagnosed in my early 30s. The only way to slow it down is eye drops, every single day — multiple bottles, multiple times. I built MeguPon for myself: a glaucoma eye-drop reminder & tracking iPhone app (SwiftUI/SwiftData), used daily on my own device. It was approved for App Store distribution in July 2026.

What it does (Build Week feature)

Timing Rhythm Bands — per-medication bands (median + IQR) showing when drops actually happen. Twice-daily meds are split into dosing clusters, so morning and evening get separate bands. Design principle: facts only. No scores, no advice, no warning colors — judgment stays with the patient and their doctor.

How I used Codex and GPT-5.6

The entire feature — planning → implementation → bugfix — was built in one Codex session with GPT-5.6 Sol. Codex read a codebase containing 3 weeks of another agent's changes, created a safe buildweek branch to protect the frozen release branch, implemented quartile statistics aligned to the app's 4 a.m. care-day boundary, and added VoiceOver support.

Challenges

Testing with my real data, I found a bug: for a morning-and-evening medication, one band covered half the day (bimodal distribution). I told Codex to split by time clusters — it fixed it in one pass, including circular-midnight wrap-around. Commits: 96bdacd, 213c361.

Disclosure

App skeleton: Codex sessions since June 2026 (pre-git; session records available). Maintenance partly with Claude Code (see git history). The Build Week feature is all Codex + GPT-5.6 Sol. Video has burned-in English captions (narration cut for the deadline).
