MegamindBot

Inspiration

This entry was for the Torc challenge and their suggestion to build a discord bot.

What it does

This is a discord chatbot that uses AI to answer any question that a user has or tells a story. It also poses trivia questions when asked.

How we built it

I built it using python, discord.py library and the hugging face AI libraries.

Challenges we ran into

My biggest challenge was finding time, unfortunately I did not get as much time to complete the features I would have liked to do.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud that I got an application working and had the bot responding to my messages.

What we learned

I learned how to use discord.py, as well as how to integrate this with the hugging face libraries.

What's next for MegamindBot

I would like to complete the following features that I did not complete:

• More options on the Ask Me Anything feature. Allow custom length of response
• Have the bot be able to record answers on the trivia questions
• Have timed trivia's for developers in a server
• Deploy the bot to a cloud service
