Inspiration

I wanted to build a convenient platform for users to access the events around them. This app also assists users who cannot see or are physically challenged to access events around.

What it does

It basically informs you about the meetups happening in your city and gives you the ability to bookmark them. You can also get details of a particular meets.

How I built it

I built it using AWS Lambda and Alexa Skills Kit.

Challenges I ran into

There were many challenges, like debugging, voice design and alexa-specific problems.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud that I am able to put up a decent skill, that is usable and convenient.

What I learned

I learnt the problems associated with actually deploying and releasing the product.

What's next for Meets

The long term goal is to make a voice-client for meetup.com by authenticating the user as well.
