Inspiration
There are a surplus of employees and not enough parking spots. The real problem is that there are a lot of empty parking spots remaining in the garage when those with parking spots don't show up. Our service takes multiple approaches to solve this problem.
What it does
First a user is asked if they will be coming into work today. If they successfully scan in, then their 'Spot Score' increases since they are telling the truth. If user does not check into the garage, their 'Spot Score' decreases. If the user reaches the minimum 'Spot Score' threshold, the user permanently lose their parking spot, and someone else gets it. The minimum 'Spot Score' threshold is higher for people with seniority. So, upper management can miss parking more than a junior level person.
How we built it
We built a website and everything on Google Sheets, using javascript, html, and css.
