Inspiration
We are both Undergraduate Teaching assistants, and are disappointed by the lack of information zoom provides to the meeting host and participants especially regarding its wait room.
What it does
Is a website that handles a queue where people can register for the meeting in order, and view how many people are waiting and how long they have been waiting to allow users to decide if the meeting is too busy before joining.
How we built it
We built it using html, javascript, and css all through the Vscode coding environment.
Challenges we ran into
Limitations on what we could accomplish without employing the use of a server, as that is something we are not very knowledgeable of.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how much we learned about what can be done on the frontend, especially using javascript which is a language not used much in our core courses. We are also proud that we were able to finish, as this is both of our first times doing a hackathon.
What we learned
We learned a lot about the different things that are possible to do with frontend languages.
What's next for Meeting Manager
If we wish to continue with the project we would look into adding a server, and developing a more sophisticated project from there.
