We've all been there - sitting through endless corporate meetings filled with buzzwords like "Let's circle back," "Can you see my screen?" and "We need to think outside the box." These meetings often feel like a waste of time, leaving participants disengaged and counting down the minutes. I realized there had to be a way to make these necessary but mundane interactions more engaging and fun for remote teams.
The inspiration struck during a particularly buzzword-heavy Zoom call when I mentally started counting how many times I heard "synergy" and "low-hanging fruit." That's when I thought: what if we could gamify these moments and turn corporate meeting pain points into competitive entertainment? Meeting Bingo was born from the simple idea that if we can't escape boring meetings, we might as well make them enjoyable.
What it does
Meeting Bingo transforms tedious corporate meetings into an engaging multiplayer game experience. Here's how it works:
Real-time Multiplayer Gaming: Teams can create shared rooms with unique codes, allowing colleagues to play together during the same meeting.
Corporate Buzzword Tracking: The game features carefully curated bingo cards filled with common meeting phrases across different categories - General corporate speak, Zoom-specific interactions, and Startup jargon. Players mark squares when they hear phrases like "Let's take this offline," "You're on mute," or "We need to pivot."
Live Engagement Features: The app includes real-time leaderboards, instant winner celebrations visible to the entire team, and smooth animations that keep players engaged without disrupting the actual meeting.
Mobile-Responsive Design: Optimized for use during video calls on any device, ensuring players can participate seamlessly whether they're on desktop, tablet, or phone.
How we built it
The most remarkable aspect of this project is that the entire multiplayer web application was built using Bolt.new with just ONE comprehensive prompt. Here's the development approach:
