Use MeetDocs, build gap between people suffering from hearing impairment and dysarthria disorder.

Inspiration

In today’s world, there are lot of people who are skilled but suffers from hearing impairments and dysarthria disorder. Due to this when in an office someone talks to them or when they are in a conference or meeting, either they are unable to understand or not able to communicate properly. To solve this problem, we can add a functionality to convert the audio to text. The application will convert audio into text in real-time and have a function to store the text in a document. Then, the person with hearing impairment can read that document and reply after understanding the document by using text or can convert his/her opinion into audio format to be played during a conference or meeting. Some people suffer from dysarthria disorder (disorder causes slurred or slow speech that can be difficult to understand). The application will provide a chat area where people suffering from dysarthria disorder can ask the question/ reply to question in text format and text will get converted into audio which will be audible by other people.

What it does

The application will solve the problem by preparing a document(pdf) to store the things covered in a meeting as explained in the problem statement. It will solve the problem as the people will understand the things by reading them which can increase the employment opportunities for them. This solution will help the people with hearing impairment to become independent like other persons, increase employment opportunities. The chat functionality present in the application would help the people suffering from dysarthria disorder.

I build this application using React JS, KendoReact, Speech-Recognition, React-speech

Using Speech Recognition with React JS and KendoReact. Also, I have developed a product which will help people to get job easily and reduce communication gap.

Building an NLP application using ReactJS and KendoReact.

What's next for MeetDocs

Increasing the language support for the application and increasing the accuracy of speech to text conversion.
