Inspiration

My personal internship experience and my experience as a Teaching assistant drove me to build this application.

What it does

Meet+ is a powerful tool designed to enhance the effectiveness of virtual meetings by automating the extraction of critical information from meeting transcripts. Here’s what it does:

Action Item Extraction: Meet+ identifies and lists specific action items discussed during the meeting. This ensures that all participants know their responsibilities moving forward.

Meeting Summary Generation: The tool provides a concise summary of the meeting, capturing the main points discussed. This helps attendees quickly recall what was talked about and ensures clarity on the outcomes.

Event Details Creation: Meet+ automatically generates detailed event information, including:

Meeting summary Location (e.g., virtual platforms like Google Meet) Description of the meeting purpose Start and end times with time zone specifications Attendees' information User-Friendly Interface: The tool features an intuitive web interface that allows users to input meeting transcripts easily. This makes it accessible for anyone, regardless of technical expertise.

Improved Collaboration: By organizing meeting outcomes and making them easily accessible, Meet+ fosters better collaboration among team members. It helps ensure that everyone is on the same page and reduces the likelihood of miscommunication.

Time-Saving: With the automation of note-taking and task assignment, users save time that would otherwise be spent on manual documentation. This allows teams to focus on execution rather than organization.

How we built it

I built it using Python, FastAPI, HTML, and GoogleAPIs.

Challenges we ran into

I couldn't connect the front-end and back-end in the given time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I did not expect to reach this far.

What's next for Meet+

Develop features to sync with popular calendar applications (like Google Calendar and Outlook) to automatically schedule meetings and send invites.

Create a task management system that allows users to track the progress of action items directly within the Meet+ interface.

Implement AI capabilities to provide suggestions for action items or follow-up tasks based on meeting content.
