Meet Connector

Inspiration

Several people during the pandemic seem to be more lonely or isolated and this should help them connect to other people through google meets and zoom.

What it does

It give you google meet links for different subjects such as cooking, art and bingo. Allowing you to connect with people.

How we built it

We built it with repl.it as our computers can’t run python by themselves.

Challenges we ran into

We first wanted to add graphics using turtle but then we found out that you can’t click on the links which makes it very hard to join the google meets so we eliminated the graphics and we went with the default output.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Before this project we didn’t know how to use datetime, time, timeline and dictionaries and now we know how to use these functions. We think that this is something to be proud of.

What we learned

We learned how to use time, time zone, date time and dictionaries. We also learned that finding these meeting links and attaching them is a very tedious job.

What's next for Meet Connector

We want to have it find google meet links by itself so that it can be done more efficiently and without as much manual labour.
