Meet Alex

The biggest challenge was getting true mockumentary movement the imperfect handheld sway, late zooms, awkward pans, and timings AI models tend to film “perfectly,” which looks unnatural. We had to engineer prompts, test camera paths, refine transitions, and strategically design scenes to recreate that raw documentary imperfection.

Another challenge: character consistency across shots, especially with different tools producing different visual styles. Balancing realism, humor, and emotional beats took iteration after iteration.

Accomplishments we’re proud of

We created something rare: An AI produced film that actually feels real. Characters feel alive. The humor lands. The SOC energy is believable. The camera behavior looks intentional, not AI-generated.

Most importantly, security professionals who watched it said: “This is literally our life.” That relatability grounded in comedy is the biggest win.

What we learned

We learned that creative workflow is everything.

AI isn’t one tool it’s a chain of tools.

What’s next for Meet Alex

We want to take “Meet Alex” further — from a short mockumentary into a full ongoing AI mini-series. Each episode will reveal a new part of the SOC world: burnout, chaos, night shift stories, teamwork, and the evolving relationship between humans and AI teammates.
