MEEPP (My Extremely Efficient Personal Planner)

MEEPP provides students of all types with an easy way to schedule all their priorities, assignments, classes, and study time on their google calendar without the hassle of planning it themselves!

Inspiration

Seeing students struggle with scheduling their priorities due to various factors such as being overworked, or having a lack of motivation and structure.

What it does

Unfortunately, our project does not "do" anything because we were not able to complete our implementation. If we had, our webapp would be able to take inputted user data and create calendar events for our user based on a variety of factors.

How we built it

We planned on using google cloud for our sign-in authentication; html, css, and js for the website; and potentially python for anything server related if we needed.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a variety of challenges from lack of knowledge in backend development to being denied security permissions on google cloud. These challenges prevented us from progressing in our project under the current time constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We completed our first hackathon. Although we did not accomplish our ultimate project goal, we're proud of the experiences and knowledge we gained.

What we learned

We learned that we need to try to have an idea in mind prior to the event, understand the resources we might want to use and how they work (generally) before the event, and have a well-rounded understanding of the full-stack development process. We also learned more about the full-stack development process along the way, and we were introduced to a variety of concepts.

What's next for MEEPP (My Extremely Efficient Personal Planner)

We will try to build MEEPP as we had in mind as a personal project to increase our experience for the future.
