Inspiration
I resell items on platforms such as eBay and Shopee. My usual routine is: take product photos on my phone, send them to my PC through a chat app, open them on the PC, ask an AI to write the product name and description, and then list the item. On top of that I have to track purchase costs, selling prices and profit. The workload is so heavy that tracking falls behind, I forget what I paid, and items do not get listed.
What it does
MeeBox is a Skill for UGREEN AI NAS that supports resellers, especially those who sell to other countries, from purchase to sale.
- Photos of products and the receipt, taken on a phone and backed up to the NAS, are grouped into products automatically.
- The purchase cost of each item is read from the receipt photo. The tax-included total is split across items, so the item costs always add up to what was really paid.
- Listing titles, categories and descriptions are written in the listing languages the user chooses, together with a translation in the user's own language for checking.
- A minimum selling price is calculated in the platform currency and the home currency.
- Photos and a listing note are saved in a numbered folder for each product, and everything is tracked in a CSV ledger.
- The user reports listings and sales by just telling the NAS AI, and the ledger keeps status, platform, fees and profit.
How we built it
MeeBox is an orchestration-only Skill (SKILL.md plus three Markdown references) built with the UGOS Skill Creation Tool. It delegates to three NAS experts: photo-agent finds new photos, reads capture times, describes items and reads receipts; document-agent writes the listing text and check translation; file-agent reads and writes settings, product folders, listing notes and the CSV ledger.
Challenges we ran into
- Receipts often show tax-excluded prices per line and the tax only on the total, sometimes with mixed tax rates. We split the tax-included total in proportion to each line so the costs match the real payment.
- Receipt names are abbreviations, so matching a line to a product is only a proposal. The user confirms every match before anything is saved.
- Skills cannot run scripts or call outside services, so the whole workflow had to be designed as delegation to NAS experts with approvals.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- The whole process, from photos to a ready-to-list folder and a ledger row, works without manual typing.
- Money-related steps always include a human check, and every write goes through NAS approval. Nothing is ever deleted.
- The Skill passes the official static checker with 0 errors and 0 warnings.
What we learned
How UGOS Skills hand real work to registered experts, and how to design clear handling for completed, failed, cancelled, waiting_user and waiting_approval states.
What's next for MeeBox
- Verify the workflow on a real UGREEN AI NAS, including use from a smartphone.
- Import the CSV ledger into inventory and sales tools.
- Extend the same receipt and ledger flow to other uses, such as personal expense tracking.
