Inspiration

Medical reports are often difficult for patients to understand because they contain complex medical terminology, technical measurements, and unfamiliar abbreviations. Many people receive blood test reports, prescriptions, or lab results and immediately turn to the internet for answers, often finding confusing or unreliable information.

We wanted to solve this problem by creating a simple AI-powered platform that transforms complicated medical reports into clear, understandable health insights. Our goal was to make healthcare information more accessible and help users better understand their health without feeling overwhelmed.

What it does

MedVision AI is an AI-powered healthcare assistant that helps users understand their medical information quickly and easily.

Users can:

Upload medical reports, prescriptions, and lab results
Receive AI-generated summaries in simple language
Track symptoms and health concerns
Get personalized health recommendations and wellness tips
Generate professional PDF health summaries for future reference

The platform focuses on clarity, accessibility, and ease of use while leveraging Google Gemini to provide meaningful insights.

We intentionally kept the product focused on a few high-impact features rather than building a large, complicated healthcare platform.

Challenges we ran into

Understanding Different Report Formats

Medical reports come in various layouts and structures. Designing prompts that could consistently extract useful information from different report formats was challenging.

Simplifying Medical Language

One of the biggest challenges was ensuring that explanations remained understandable while preserving the meaning of the medical information.

PDF Design

We wanted the generated PDF summaries to feel professional and visually appealing rather than simply exporting text. Designing a clean and structured report format required several iterations.

User Experience

Healthcare applications must feel trustworthy and easy to use. We spent considerable time refining the interface to make it clean, intuitive, and accessible.
