Inspiration

My cousin, a PG resident at Victoria Hospital Bangalore, shared his frustration: "I spent 3 hours updating Excel rosters while emergency patients waited. A cardiac referral got delayed because we couldn't reach the specialist."

When my other cousin, a US Emergency Physician with 20+ years experience, confirmed: "Even here, we spend 50% of our time on manual data entry instead of patient care," I realized this was a universal healthcare problem.

With 43+ Government Medical Colleges and 4,000+ medical professionals in Karnataka struggling with antiquated systems, we saw an opportunity to use AI to save lives through better communication.

What it does

MedSync360 is a HIPAA-compliant healthcare platform that transforms medical workflows:

  • AI Medical Transcription - Voice to structured clinical notes with ICD-10 coding
  • Smart Digital Rosters - AI-powered scheduling replacing manual Excel systems
  • Secure Team Messaging - Real-time HIPAA-compliant communication
  • Clinical Decision Support - AI-powered treatment suggestions and drug interaction checking
  • Streamlined Referrals - Digital workflows for seamless patient coordination

How we built it

Built entirely on Bolt.new with real-time feedback from doctors in both India and USA.

Tech Stack:

  • Frontend : React 18.3.1 + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS + Framer Motion
  • Backend : Supabase PostgreSQL with real-time subscriptions and RLS
  • AI : OpenAI GPT-3.5-turbo for medical transcription and clinical support
  • Security : End-to-end encryption, JWT authentication, audit logging

Process : Daily feedback loop with hospital testing, US clinical validation, and rapid Bolt.new prototyping.

Challenges we ran into
