MedSwift:Your Life Our Priority

MedSwift was inspired by a heartbreaking reality,ambulance response times in Kenya average over 160 minutes. We saw a chance to turn ride-hailing tech into something life-saving. Just like you can call a taxi in seconds, why not an ambulance?

We built MedSwift as a mobile app that uses Google Maps to let users request emergency help, track ambulances in real time, and even access first aid tips while waiting. We used Java, Firebase, and integrated PayPal for donations.

Along the way, we learned how critical location accuracy and speed are in emergencies. Challenges included payment restrictions, internet access in remote areas, and building trust in a new system.

But the impact? Powerful. MedSwift isn’t just tech,it’s a tool that brings help closer when it matters most
